Legal

The Legal team works with all parts of the business on a daily basis.  Areas of focus for the team include managing the Marshall Wace corporate structure, the set up and maintenance of new funds and managed accounts, and dealing with the legal aspects of investor queries. The Legal team works closely with the Compliance team in order to analyse and implement regulations that affect our business. The Legal team is also involved in working with the Technology team in respect of IT and market data contracts, as well as other teams such as Tax, Operations, Fund Accounting and Facilities. The Legal team is involved in a huge breadth of projects at any one time, and is focussed on ensuring that our fund structures are efficient, that we engage with our clients in a way that meets their needs and addresses any questions they have, and that we support our internal business contacts in achieving their deliverables. The Legal team is focussed on applying a commercial approach to our dynamic and changing business needs.
